Pay Per Click vs. Newspaper Marketing

Where is the best place to advertise? What is the best way to market your products or services? With the global crisis, does ones marketing strategy change? Let’s answer all these questions.
Marketing via the newspapers is basically paying the newspaper to print your ad. Costs vary depending on which page you post your ad, how big the ad is and how many days or on which days you post it. A Saturday and Sunday ad will cost more because more people buy newspapers on those days. A full page ad will be a lot more than an ad that’s 1/16th of the page, and an ad on the first page will also be lots more than one on the last page. So depending on those things, you can get anywhere from 1 to 1 million people looking at your ad. Further, newspapers only reach a small area compared to the Internet. Also regarding home business no one will believe you are making big bucks unless you take out a big full page color ad.
Now pay per click is an advertising/marketing processes where your ad pops up on different websites and search engines depending on keywords that you bid on. The amount you pay depends on how many times your ad is clicked and how much you bid per click.
The pros and cons. People still read newspapers, but it’s not as wide spread as the Internet is. Pay Per Click seems like the perfect spend only for what you’re getting in return, but if you don’t know how to play the pay per click game, then you could be burning your money. The thing is bidding on the keywords. There are many techniques people use and those who know how to play the game; they get their ads to show on the top positions in paid search results. Also, when many people want to bid on a keyword, the bid cost goes up. Thus you need to be resourceful to bid on profitable keywords.
So what’s the better choice? Well, you have to think about what you’re selling. If your building your brand then print media does well but if you’re an international internet marketer then nothing beats PPC.
Because I understand the frustrations of coming into the internet marketing world brand new without a clue and up against the heavy hitters, I give my team member here at CCPRO my Google Adwords PPC campaigns so they can get their business off the ground and running in no time. These campaigns cost thousands in outsourcing and market testing. It is something I wish I could have benefited from a year ago and glad to be able to pass on at this stage.
