NY Giants & The Kanassas City Chiefs “Game On”

Posted by | Posted in Abundance, Business, Direct sales, Goals, Leadership, Marketing, Network Marketing, Prosperity | Posted on 05-10-2009

It’s a rainy cool Sunday here in south central Ontario. It’s a great day for being on the computer and watching football.

The Game my friend Neil and I have on is the only one playing in our area and it’s probably the worst game of the one o’clock pm starts. It is the NY Giants & the Kansas City Chiefs. The fourth quarter just started and the Giants are leading 20 something to 3.

The lopsided lead of this team game allows me to drawn a parallel to individual’s daily routine. Those people that get it done and those people that don’t. Life in many aspects is a numbers game and same with business. The business of sport is just a quick example keeping in mind the 80/20 rule.

20% of the NFL will make 80% of the money as they are the top 80% who perform the greatest. This in a league where although teams are capped by salary certain teams tend to be more stacked with the top 20%.

KC got killed because there: QB is weak, their offence in general is terrible and so is their defence. NY on the other hand looked like a well oiled machine.  It would not surprise me if NY had more 20% leaders than KC in the NFL.

This NFL sums up the story for the reality of business regardless if it’s the highest paid Lexus salesperson, the highest paid roofer or the highest paid network marketing/direct salesperson.

Although the slight difference between the NFL and the direct sales/marketing industry is that to make the NFL and be a star you need to not only have incredible work ethic, but you also need to have talent.  And as talented as the top players are they work together as they can’t do it all.

Being a online entrepreneur is great as you are your own boss and you don’t have staff but to be successful you can’t do it all on your own. The top 20% producers are the top 20% earners because we realize this and we work to use leverage in our favour. We have systems in place and we use outsourcing whenever we need work done that does not match our best skill set. The same is true as mentioned with the NY Giants in today’s game as with the top Lexus salesperson or the highest paid roofer. They have the best work ethic. Drive and determination but they also understand the systems in place and the people around them. Because of their attention to detail and fortitude to achieve they are able to utilize their surrounding the greatest.

If you are very successful in your industry you understand the harsh reality of success but it doesn’t come across as harsh. It is a reality that excites you. You love what you do. The tough battles faced are looked at like challenges you need to conquer. You also see what separates you from the pack and the negative that goes with the rest. There is no doubt the top earners work the longest and hardest to achieve their outcome. However the 80% that makes 20% of the money don’t see it this way, they think it’s other’s fault, they blame other people and their systems, they just don’t take responsibility.

This lack of responsibility taken prevents them from doing more than the person beside them. The biggest skill they don’t work hard enough on is actually not a skill. It’s mindset, constant attention and time spent on self mastery is the number one factor that separates the top 20%.

It is no wonder that Michael Jordan could throw more free throws with his eyes closed than Shack with them wide open.

There are many great books and audio books of which you can download to put on your mp3 player or burn to a CD can be from on amazon.com or in the iTunes store. The top Producers, the top players and the top people in any field have the biggest libraries, attend the most training, the most seminars, and take the most action.

More Heart Than Talent

Posted by | Posted in Abundance, Happyness, Leadership | Posted on 29-09-2009

Hello,

I love Monday’s so much that I feel I may have coined the term TGIM but it’s pretty cheesy so I don’t really bring it up to often. It is one of my favorite days to wake up because I feel so blessed I do not have to fight traffic  to open a small business or get to a j.ob. I did miss posting this on Monday but I am still awake into the wee hours after going to see “Jennifer’s Body” with my girlfriend Jennifer.  Thankfully mine isn’t blood thirsty and doesn’t want to eat my heart out, literally!

However, one of my mentors Jeff Combs coined a very useful, motivating and gravitating term called  More Heart Than Talent. This term sticks with me in my daily routine as I feel that almost everything I have accomplished has been from having more heart than talent. I was an exceptional goal in hockey when I was growing up and that came from heart but I was very talented. Other than that my story is one of passion, hard work, long hours, devotion and belief.

I know I share this with most achievers out there. Talent is hard to find compared to those that go for it through raw dedication. With more heart you can really make up for less talent. Constant attention to mastering your interests will allow you to realise your goals. Do not feel inferior to those that have what you seek. The payoff is in the process and however long it may take or however hard it may seem, the things learned and achieved along the way is what will allow you to be who you want to be.

Don’t wish for it to be easier, wish for you to gain more ability.

The Online Business Travels to a New Country and Stays at the Paradisus Palma Real – Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. & gets asked “Kirk do you do it just for the money?”

Posted by | Posted in CCPRO, Happyness, Leadership, Opportunities, Wealth | Posted on 16-07-2009

Wow it’s the middle of July and this is my first post of the month.  Crazy, I am not usually this much of a slacker!

I am back in Toronto Canada after leaving Manly, Australia for the winter to take in some long summer days. Shortly after I arrived in Toronto Jenn and took off to hang out with a few hundred CCPRO members in down in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic at a 5 star resort called Paradisus Palma Real. It was absolute luxury.

As part of the main reason for going down there was to attend our annual event which is a 5 day wealth conference at a 5 star resort. We learned about health, wealth and wisdom. This included where and why to invest our money, but mostly to be educated to make informed decisions. The speakers were chosen with a minimum 10 year track record and our company does not get kick backs from any purchases we make from the recommendations provided. By the way, this bear market rally is going to end shortly and when it does all the phone Fed money that has been injected into the economy with an over inflated fiat currency is going to spell disaster. Those in the know are going to make a ton of money in the next 3-5 years.

Aside from the conference was the ultra luxurious all inclusive resort that I got to spend time with my gorgeous girlfriend Jenn and many other member from around the globe that are becoming my good friends. Members ranging in age from 22-77.

To take note of the title “”Kirk do you do it just for the money?” was a question one of my applicants asked me the other day. It took me by surprise as know one has ever asked me such a bold question. He asked do you do it just for the money or for the people. I understand where he was coming from as most people enter this business with self-centered reasons. The one thing everybody who has gained success in this industry knows is that until you put others first your not going to make much or last to long. I see it all the time people asking: how much it will cost them, how much it will make them and how much time it will take them. These are very very self centered questions that I get all the time and until these people make a shift to thinking about: how much do i need to learn to help others or how long will it take so that I can lead others to make the money they are looking for. They either quit and you never hear from them again or they say the system doesn’t work, hop from one opportunity to another and go back to their day job and speak badly about the industry.

It’s sad how some people think but only they can change themselves.

I changed. I came into this business about 15 months ago and I was self-centered. Because of this I barely made anything. What I did was to acquire all the knowledge I could and slowly I began to realise that as much as I thought I had the right mindset it was far off.

Now, I take the money but I don’t need the money. Everybody in business that is successful takes the money but they all do it for other reasons. For me I like free time, I love to have fun/travel and I love to be generous with my family and friends.

This is why I love this business, it provides all that makes me happy while stimulating me to grow and achieve more.

I had no idea that I would become good friends with other members when entering the business. The same members who are my/our direct competition. I can’t say it enough, it’s friendly competition with like minded people at it’s best.

Don’t get me wrong, there is: pain, frustration, sweat and hard work. This is why not everybody is built to be a millionaire.

For those in the Northern Hemisphere enjoy this beautiful summer’s month and to everybody in the Southern Hemisphere I wish you a warm winter’s day and happy skiing.

How Much is it going to Make Me…?

Posted by | Posted in Happyness, Leadership, Prosperity | Posted on 13-06-2009

How Much is it going to Make Me….

How Much is it going to Cost Me…

How Much is it going to Benefit Me…

Believe it or not but these are some of the most common questions my prospects ask. Here’s the reality, it’s very self-driven in an industry that is won by helping others.

“Service too many leads to greatness.” Jim Rohn

“Ask not what the people can do for you, but what you can do for the people.” President Kennedy

-          If you don’t get this you are not going to be rich bottom line. However if you don’t get this NOW you can change, but only you will decided if your able to make that change.

Here’s the kicker if you don’t quite get it I’ll let you know you’re not alone. The majority of network marketers enter the industry with this exact mentality; I’ll leave it to you to figure why some stay around for decades and other wilt in the sun. I’ll also admit I thought that way. Big time and struggled for months.

No one care how much I make but how much I can help you make. Once I understood this I gained real financial success. Realise that money just happens, it passes hands all day long & all around the whole world.

In this industry money passes hands built on relationships that derive from trust. So what should you consider and or ask yourself and your sponsoring consultant before joining an opportunity…?

-          What skills will I need to acquire to be successful?

-          What am I going to need to learn to be able to teach others how to be successful?

-          How do I get people to follow me in and join my business?

That’s all for today. Have a great one :-)

Kirk

PS – Go Pens Go, big game 7 tomorrow at 10:00 AM Sunday morning in Sydney, haha yeah it’s been a bit crazy being an NHL fan with the time differance.

The Three Key Principles You Need To Know To Build Your Network Marketing Business Online

Posted by | Posted in Business, Direct sales, Leadership, MLM, Marketing, Network Marketing, Networking | Posted on 08-05-2009

I am writing this one close to 1:00 AM local Sydney time. While listening to a some techniques used to market an informational product online I was struck with this thought.

- Your business needs to be duplicatable.

- People will not buy into your business unless they perceive you as a person of value that can help solve there problems.

- You do not want to work with everybody. A lot of people that are approaching and will approach you have problems this industry cannot solve.

Lets dig deeper. People are lazy and time constrained for the most part . They want the financial independence and free time before they begin. This is why you need a system that can be duplicated. Remember people are like herding cats not sheep. This is why people fail not systems. Thus a bullet proof system is required to give your team members their best chance of success.

Leadership, it almost sounds cliche these days but it’s true and it will never disappear. We as humans want to follow someone who has what we want. Until that outcome is achieved we will continue to follow until we feel able to lead ourselves in our chosen direction.

In becoming a leader in a replicatable system you are going to be approached by many people wanting to join your business. But for some of the reasons mentioned this new power will come great responsibility. It is easy to be led but to Lead others and turn them into leaders is a skill and mindset in it’s own. As mentioned, people are lazy, many followers are not doers but complainers and it is not your responsibility to fed people. You need to show them how to find food so that they can learn to feed themselves i.e find where the traffic is, attract traffic that are successful individuals, connect with them and provided they are someone looking to make a change and ready to commit to a decision you will sponsor distributors into your business.

With those guidelines in place you stand to build a stronger team that is in it for the long haul and not the overnight success garbage mentality that is present for so many. It can be disheartening for a new network marketer to lose a team member. This is inevitable as on planet earth their is the 80/20 rule but focus on those leaders and they will emerge.

“How To Turn Leads Into Paying Customers”

Posted by | Posted in Abundance, CCPRO, Direct sales, Leadership, Marketing, Network Marketing | Posted on 01-05-2009

Day 6

Ahhh… This is one of my favorite topics.

Ironically, it’s the most important because it’s when products are purchased, value is exchanged, and that’s when the money is made.

Yet, the average home business owner fails to capitalize on 90% of their businesses profit potential, because they have no idea how to handle this stage correctly.

Want to know what to say to your leads?

Wish you knew how to follow up with them correctly for maximum profits and results?

Then read today’s issue closely.

I’m sure you remember the 3-step formula I gave you in Day #1…

1: Build a list.

2: Build a relationship with that list.

3: Market to that list.

Repeat, repeat, repeat!

Well we’re at stages 2 and 3 today, and they are intimately linked. You cannot consistently make sales in stage 3, if you failed to build a relationship in stage 2.

You’ll find that 3% to 10% of your prospects just get it. The time is right for them. They’ve pro-actively gone through all of the information about CarbonCopy PRO they could get their hands on, and they’re ready to become a part of the family as a customer or business owner immediately.

As for the rest, it’s a matter of timing. And this is where the average distributor drops the ball.

They usually end up treating prospects as a perishable commodity with a very short shelf-life. They get a quick “yes or no” answer and then move onto the next.

Well you’ve always heard that fortune is in the follow up, and that phrase couldn’t be more right.

The follow up is where you find your leverage.

Let me give you an illustration of what I mean…

Let’s say that you generate 10 leads per day, or 300 per month.

Of those 300, 5-10% submit and application, paying you a $30 commission on each. (This earns you several hundred dollars to pay for your marketing/advertising costs.

Out of your applicants… about 20% will join at the “entry level”.

This will earn you 3-6 customers and $3,000-$6,000 in immediate commissions your first month. Not bad.

Well as our system continues to build a relationship with our leads, the timing will become right for another 10% in month two.

So all in all, about 3% of every 100 leads WILL JOIN.

We already have 300 leads in our pipeline from month 1, and now we’re going to add another 300 for month two, bringing our prospect list total to 600.

Once again, 20% of our new applicants will get started right away, giving us 6 new customers again in month two. But now an additional 10% from our previous month will decide to buy the product due to our follow-up efforts, which gives us an additional 9 customers for a total of 15, and commissions of $15,000.

You get my point…

But the real money is always made on the back-end in ANY business, and once again, that’s no different here in CarbonCopy PRO.

You see, about 40% of all “entry-level” customers will eventually become “2nd product” customers because they love the product and see the incredible value of the information revealed in the “2nd product”.

You make up to a $5,000 commission on each “2nd Product” sale, so if 40% of your 15 customers become “2nd product” customers, you stand to make an additional $30,000 in profits from the customers you’ve already acquired.

When you add our “3rd product” into this equation, you stand to earn an additional $25,000 in back-end profits…

Earning you a total of $70,000 in your first 90 days!

And this process continues month after month as your prospect pipeline grows from 300 to 600 to 900 to 1,200 to 1,500, etc.

Alright, so on to Part II of today’s lesson…

What do you do with your prospects as you generate them?

Well our philosophy is pretty simple.

We’re not here to personally sell people on CarbonCopy PRO. Our marketing tools do the selling and telling for us. If someone doesn’t see the incredible value in CarbonCopy’s marketing system or business opportunity, there’s nothing I can say or do to change their mind, nor would I want to waste my time doing so.

I’m not here to twist arms. I’m here to act as a consultant and to provide information so that my prospects can sell themselves. And you will do the same.

******************************************************************************************

Did You Know?

80% of all profits come from back-end sales – marketing to your existing clientele?

******************************************************************************************

As you begin your business, your only real job is to generate leads into your CarbonCopy PRO system that you will be provided with.

Out of your leads about 5-10% will become “applicants”.

These applicants are called on your behalf by one of our CarbonCopy “mastermind group” members.

If my prospects want to talk to me after this point, they just contact my office… or I call to greet them AFTER they have already joined my team!

Sound like something you could do? ;)

Well that’s it for today… if you have any questions, you know how to reach me…and you can start to move forward by completing your application.
