NY Giants & The Kanassas City Chiefs “Game On”

It’s a rainy cool Sunday here in south central Ontario. It’s a great day for being on the computer and watching football.
The Game my friend Neil and I have on is the only one playing in our area and it’s probably the worst game of the one o’clock pm starts. It is the NY Giants & the Kansas City Chiefs. The fourth quarter just started and the Giants are leading 20 something to 3.
The lopsided lead of this team game allows me to drawn a parallel to individual’s daily routine. Those people that get it done and those people that don’t. Life in many aspects is a numbers game and same with business. The business of sport is just a quick example keeping in mind the 80/20 rule.
20% of the NFL will make 80% of the money as they are the top 80% who perform the greatest. This in a league where although teams are capped by salary certain teams tend to be more stacked with the top 20%.
KC got killed because there: QB is weak, their offence in general is terrible and so is their defence. NY on the other hand looked like a well oiled machine. It would not surprise me if NY had more 20% leaders than KC in the NFL.
This NFL sums up the story for the reality of business regardless if it’s the highest paid Lexus salesperson, the highest paid roofer or the highest paid network marketing/direct salesperson.
Although the slight difference between the NFL and the direct sales/marketing industry is that to make the NFL and be a star you need to not only have incredible work ethic, but you also need to have talent. And as talented as the top players are they work together as they can’t do it all.
Being a online entrepreneur is great as you are your own boss and you don’t have staff but to be successful you can’t do it all on your own. The top 20% producers are the top 20% earners because we realize this and we work to use leverage in our favour. We have systems in place and we use outsourcing whenever we need work done that does not match our best skill set. The same is true as mentioned with the NY Giants in today’s game as with the top Lexus salesperson or the highest paid roofer. They have the best work ethic. Drive and determination but they also understand the systems in place and the people around them. Because of their attention to detail and fortitude to achieve they are able to utilize their surrounding the greatest.
If you are very successful in your industry you understand the harsh reality of success but it doesn’t come across as harsh. It is a reality that excites you. You love what you do. The tough battles faced are looked at like challenges you need to conquer. You also see what separates you from the pack and the negative that goes with the rest. There is no doubt the top earners work the longest and hardest to achieve their outcome. However the 80% that makes 20% of the money don’t see it this way, they think it’s other’s fault, they blame other people and their systems, they just don’t take responsibility.
This lack of responsibility taken prevents them from doing more than the person beside them. The biggest skill they don’t work hard enough on is actually not a skill. It’s mindset, constant attention and time spent on self mastery is the number one factor that separates the top 20%.
It is no wonder that Michael Jordan could throw more free throws with his eyes closed than Shack with them wide open.
There are many great books and audio books of which you can download to put on your mp3 player or burn to a CD can be from on amazon.com or in the iTunes store. The top Producers, the top players and the top people in any field have the biggest libraries, attend the most training, the most seminars, and take the most action.
