Season’s Greetings Network Marketing & Direct Sales Fans

Posted by | Posted in Abundance, Direct sales, Leadership, Network Marketing, Opportunities | Posted on 11-12-2010

Ho Ho Ho,

Quick note as our family antique and estate jewellery business www.cynthiafindlay.com is in high season and I really want to make this year the biggest and best year for mom and her new website. Stay tuned for lots of great new tips and strategies as the online marketing and home based business industry keeps evolving!

This is a short video shot last month while at our live event in Las Vegas. The camera guy manages to hold his hand over the mic for the first 1:40. However, uncut it still turns out pretty neat and shows that it is not as easy as everyone thinks to film quick marketing related videos. Like everything else practice is required.

Actions speak louder than words

Posted by | Posted in Abundance, Business, Direct sales, Leadership, Marketing | Posted on 20-10-2010

G’day,

While it’s true that actions speak louder than words it’s our words that have a profound impact either negative or positive or our outcome. This can be the difference right off the bat in your success with your direct sales and marketing business.

Simple psychological tactics can help overcome some pretty big obstacles.

Replace:

I can’t afford it, with I’m committed.

I don’t get it, with I’m learning.

This is too hard, with this is a great challenge.

How we dictate out vocabulary sends out silent messages as to wether you see the glass half empty or half full and what you send out, gets reciprocated. People look to you for inspiration, motivation, passion and enthusiasm. Its necessary you wreak of this ultra successful sent.

Happy hump day,

Kirk

The Monster Cuff Operation

Posted by | Posted in Business, Leadership, Marketing, Wealth | Posted on 26-09-2010

Hi there,

Just over two weeks ago I went through a massive rotator cuff repair. The original surgery 6 years ago didn’t end up healing to well as the stitches failed to hold.

wing

Was tough news just finding out this spring that all this time spent trying to recover while all along I had no rotator cuff. Know wonder the shoulder was servilely weak. We figured it was due to nerve damage and complexities after a near life ending motorcycle crash back in 2004. Crazy!

Well the thing is I was not necessarily going to go forward with the operation as we thought that after the MRI this spring confirmed the damage to the area that the rotator cuff would not be salvageable. This would  lead to needing to have a different operation performed called a Lat Dorsi Transfer. In this procedure they extend your Lat tendon on your back to the humorous bone. This provides for comfort for some people in pain and provides decent range of motion which medium range/low range strength.  Because I pretty much thought I wasn’t in pain and I had decent range of motion except external rotation this operation didn’t look as though it would really change a whole lot.  None the less the pluses did out way the negative and I could not wonder the rest of my life what if….

Turns out my surgeon went in through my old se car, saw the top of the humorous bone and behind it all squished together and lodged in my neck was the ”rotator cuff” muscle and tendon. The doc was able to free it up, loosen it up, stretch it out and anchor it down.

Needless to say I awoke happy as hell pumping my good arm leaving the o.r no joke shouting wooo hooo when I overheard them say they were able to use my rotator cuff. Both the surgeon and I fully went in believing this would be a Lat Dorsi Transfer, leaving me with another scar a transferred muscle and tendon with a lot more pain and aggravation. It seriously feels like a miracle.

A lot of times taking risks seaks the reward they look to weigh in favor. Not everybody has it in them to take risks but the one trait that you will find is the most common among the ultra successful crowd in term of finance is that they were and are risk takers.

Chose your risks wisely,

Kirk

Direct Sales, It’s March Madness & I Don’t Play Ball ;)

Posted by | Posted in Direct sales, Leadership, Marketing | Posted on 12-03-2010

Hello Direct Sales Consultants,

It is starting to feel like spring north of the border up here in Canada. This weekend we move the clocks forward and that is one my favorite times of the year.

I recently came back from a week out west in Whistler/Blackcomb with the guys on our mancation. The difference in the seasons from Toronto to Vancouver is amazing, they have: green grass, there tulips are starting to bud along with the trees. Here we still have that dirty winter is coming to an end look and feel. BTW – it was my twelfth trip to Whistler and we found more new trails than ever before, a whole new experience. Great weather receiving both sun and snow! I love that mountain and the village which I highly recommend to anybody with the powder itch.

marketing the direct sales model from 7000 feet

My goal a year ago was to write at least a post a week, I have become so busy that this blog has not been able to receive the same attention yet it still holds my dedication and passion. Because of this and all the projects I have on the go I intend to write one value driven post a month. Yes my spelling and grammar is still terrible, my high school English would be amazed if she knew I had a blog,  anyways looking past that you will learn heaps from my lessons.

Today I am going to talk to you about “Hand Holding.”

Don’t do it.

From all my friends that I have seen grow up that had there hand held they still need that attention. Don’t be fooled adults are know different.

When it comes to internet marketing and the direct sales business there is so much for the target market “48 years of age plus” to learn that the opportunity to hand hold can at times seem easier than listening to the frustration that may arise from your new team member going through the learning process that you have achieved. This can cause you to want to just do it for them rather than allowing them to learn on there own.

This is not how you learned and it is not how they are going to be able to teach, which is why it is a recipe for disaster.

As annoying as it may sound to know how to instantly do the work for them, to be able to move forward you need to remain there teacher by pointing them back to the places they can: read, listen or watch to educate themselves on how to get ahead.

The old saying “teach a person to fish” is much more powerful than giving the person a fish.

Not only will they learn something new and feel good about there accomplishment, you have showed them how to start to be self-sufficient and independent when taking action to achieve there goals.

On a side note, do not encourage them to outsource basic account set-ups or marketing strategies until they have an understanding of how to do it on there own. Outsourcing is great but has it’s limitations and cannot be relied on solely, especially in the beginning.

As much as this new business is a very lucrative model for your new member it is also the education they never received. Like collage or university this will take time to grasp the curriculum. Until your new member gains these skills they are useless in the marketplace the same as a student who has just started school versus the one with the diploma. Unlike the job world, in this industry people seek out leaders. Like the job world where companies hire the best candidate, people hire the best perceived instructor that they feel the most confident with, that will enable them to show them the path to get from where they are to where they want to be.

Now then the next time you get a call from one of your distributing consultants in the direct sales industry asking you how to do something. Ask them: what steps they have taken to figure it out, if they have watched the tutorial videos in the online video library, if they have contacted support from head office and what webinars they have been on of late.

If all that sounds like they have been putting in the required time than go in and teach. You have too many people on your team to spend hours with individuals, host weekly webinars that address questions from the group as many questions will be repeated. Further let your consultants know that they do not need to feel like they need to know everything to be able to be the leader others are looking for.

Before I go, If you do not hear form me before April, it’s because this is one of my busiest months in the top tier direct sales business, As well I am going back down to South Beach Miami Florida in two week for a music conference and then immediately following we have our semi annual national event in Boca Ratton.

I love the portability of this business and some how when I am on the road all the stars line up and it is usually my most profitable weeks. My story regarding this is similar to many, let me know if you are one of them.

You can contact me above or opt-in to my mailing list whist will give you a value driven report on the differences between MLM and top tier direct sales. Further showing you the business model I market online.

This Business Isn’t For Everyone, But This ex-CFO Was A Head Shaker

Posted by | Posted in Business, Direct sales, Leadership, Marketing | Posted on 07-11-2009

Hello,

The idea came to me for this post a long time ago but seemed to slip my mind when I sat down to write. The type of idea that you don’t bother to put down on paper to come back too and every time you think of the thought your doing something else.

Anyways, as you know we only work with approved applicants and after your approved application comes through my desk you’re able to see the business model.

It has changed slightly since mid summer. Not only do we recommend a top tier direct sales company and their unsaturated three tier financial education product line but we also have had so many people come across our platform that are involved in a business or have a product they want to market online but have know clue: where to go, what to do or how to do it. Thus are new focus and mission statement is to “learn how to market anything to anybody in any country.” Moreover, we are multi language and in over 160 countries.

Thing is there are still a lot of people that find our business model that do not have a product or business they are trying to promote and they are looking to make six figures a month. This is only possible in online marketing with a Top Tier Direct Sales company period! There are various levels to position to allow people of all investment capital the possibility to start a business. In any company with any compensation plan your goal is to position at the top as fast as possible. If you have the investment capital to do so straight away you are not doing yourself any favours by thinking you will “try it out”, “test the waters” or “see if it works” by coming in at the lower levels and working your way up. Leaders play from the top, the only people to make it on stage and win awards are positioned at the top. Bottom line the only way you shouldn’t position at the top right away is if you straight up cannot afford it and by that you have to ask yourself if you were to sell some of your assets or limit some of your costly habits could you make it happen and put yourself in a leadership position?

The Texas based financial education company we recommend pays 50% commissions and getting back to the title of the post, a gentlemen who’s name I honestly have forgotten left me a message and asked me to call him back a few months ago. I was backed up and by the time I got to him several days later he had his questions answered by our business center. By then he had made up his mind that our products where not worth the price because they were over priced and that 50% commissions were too high.

I asked the guy, what he did, why he was looking to start a business and searching around for other ways to make money online. He told me he had a corporate background and was an ex-CFO. He sounded like he had a bit of an attitude and was trying to impress me, although if I can remember correctly he said he was out of a job. He wanted me to convince him how great this business was as he had decided himself it was not for him. I explained that I do not try and convince anybody. If it’s not for you, it’s not for you, know big deal. Trying to convince people with features and benefits never works, so don’t bother wasting your time. I asked him if he had ever been to see any personal growth and or financial conferences and how much he paid. He said he went to see Tony Robbins and it didn’t do much for him. He went on to say that he didn’t spend the money to go to Tony’s private weekend with a select group of people that was offered as an up sell at the conference because he didn’t see the value in it.

Clearly, this guy is not set out to be an entrepreneur and that’s fine. He is employee minded and the mindset required to be an entrepreneur is not in his jeans. At these conferences they biggest take away you can gain is the mindset required to work for yourself, which is a lot different than for pay. Remember in life you can make wages which are fine and you can make profits which are really fine. By the way you can live both fine and really fine, it’s up to you. That is a great expression from Jim Rohn. After I got off the phone with him, it struck me which made me think to write this post. Here is a person that has a financial background, he did tell me he could not afford the program but also saw no value in it. I question if he could not scrape together enough money to start his business if he believed in himself. Were talking about a broke ex-CFO that could not see value in a Top Tier Direct Sales company that can provide a multiple six figure monthly income off marketing alone, let alone our investment portfolio that is up over 500% on the year, not to mention the other assets were exposed too from the product side of the business. HELLO….., if your looking to make money and your a broke ex-CFO and you come across a marketing system: that you can share with others to improve their life, that has over 10 streams of income, 50% commissions, conferences in the nicest places in the world with key note speakers that have the sharpest minds in the country, many are top selling authors or world class advisers and You DO NOT Just Pinch Yourself and Go, WOW…, Finally I Stuck Gold, all I have to do it mine it… I think you’re hopeless.

Some peoples grandchildren I tell ya,

Kirk
